Steve White Program Manager
Steve's Bio:
Steve brings specific experience as the Program Manager at Microsoft for Office Communications Server’s Presence architecture and as a Product Manager in the Voice Technology Group at Cisco Systems.
Before joining Unify2, Steve was at Microsoft working as a Senior Program Manager on Microsoft's Office Communication Server team where he was responsible for presence, web components, address book server, gateway integration, and outbound routing.
Previous to Microsoft, Steve was a Product Manager in Cisco's Access Technology Group, where he was responsible for voice/fax/modem infrastructure, DSP software, voice quality, transcoding and conferencing software in IOS. Steve was also responsible for several hardware components for Cisco's 28/3800 Integrated Services Routers, including DSP Modules and T1/E1 Interface Cards. Steve was also a Product Manager in Cisco's Voice Technology Group, where he worked on VoiceXML, VoiceXML partner initiatives, and various voice-related projects.
Before Cisco, Steve was a Technical Sales Engineer at Amteva Technologies working with Cisco on integrating Amteva's uOne Unified Messaging product into Cisco's voice solutions. Amteva was eventually acquired by Cisco. Previous to Amteva, Steve was a consulting manager and consultant at Object Design, where he managed and worked on numerous customer engagements in designing database and web solutions for numerous customers, including Intel, AMD, Knight-Ridder, Cellnet, MCI, Excite, Hughes, Ford, Toyota, Sony, IBM, Nortel, Sandia National Labs, and Lawrence-Livermore National Labs. Steve also has worked for other companies/organizations, including MCI/Systemhouse, Digital Equipment, and the University of British Columbia.
Steve has a M.S. Degree in Computer Science and a B.Ed. Degree in Mathematics/Computer Science from the University of British Columbia. Steve has also taken several business courses at MIT's Sloan School of Management.
