Unify2's Call Forwarding Configuration Utility
for OCS 2007 R2
The Call Forwarding Configuration Utility from Unify2 allows administrators to configure simultaneous ring and call forwarding settings for users of Office Communications Server.
Microsoft Office Communications Server enables users to set simultaneous ring settings and call forwarding settings. This allows users to receive calls both on an Office Communicator end point as well an another endpoint such as a mobile phone. Call forwarding settings provide OCS Users with the ability to redirect calls to an alternate phone, contact or voice mail.
In some situations enterprises may want to configure simultaneous ring and call forwarding settings for end users. In OCS, configuring these settings requires the user to log in to OCS using a client endpoint and manually change settings. The Call Forwarding Configuration Utility however allows administrators to configure settings without end user intervention.
The Unify² Call Forwarding Configuration Utility enables administrators to configure simultaneous ring settings as well as call forwarding settings on behalf of OCS users. This saves time during deployments that require these settings to be configured prior to OC client rollout.
- Enterprise Voice Deployments: Prior to the roll out of OCS Enterprise voice, enterprises sometimes require end users existing PBX phones to be rung simultaneously.
- Out of Office Configuration: In some cases, administrators may want to configure call forwarding settings for users who are out of the office and require their phone calls to be forwarded to another user.
