Let’s take a closer look. Here, within the main dashboard, we can easily visualize the number of DIDs available within each of our ranges. We also get a quick overview of how phone numbers are distributed across different usage modes and across different UC platforms in our organization.
Now let’s dive into a couple of examples. A new employee named Brad Smith is starting at our New York office today, and we need to assign him an available phone number. Starting with the phone number management dashboard, we click on phone numbers to begin. Here, we can see a variety of different ways to search and filter our phone numbers. For this example, we want to search for the New York site and the status available. Once we click search. We are presented with all the unused phone numbers for New York. We’re going to select the top phone number and assign it to Brad Smith. During the allocation process, we can select a specific UC platform under endpoint type. Next, we search for Brad Smith in our active directory to make sure we assign this number to the correct end user. Lastly, there’s an option to jot down any additional comments before we finalize the assignment. If we want to assign multiple phone numbers at once, this is easily accomplished by uploading a CSV file with the desired assignments.
