Achieving a Key Milestone

Unify Square is committed to information security and to protecting the information entrusted to us by our customers.  We recently achieved a key security milestone —  ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (ISO 27001) certification for PowerSuite Software and PowerSuite Cloud Managed Services.  While security has always been a critical part of how we do business, having ISO 27001 certification gives us a meaningful way to show that our practices have been reviewed and assessed by an accredited third party.  ISO 27001 certification means that we have implemented an information security management system, which complies with a global standard, taking into account executive sponsorship and governance of information security at Unify Square.  Our customers and partners can now have even more confidence that we have assessed all applicable risks and taken appropriate and verifiable steps to protect the information entrusted to us.

ISO 27001 certification is a consistent anchor of our security strategy.

PowerSuite is hosted in Microsoft’s world-class Azure data centers which are also ISO 27001 certified.  As an added safety measure, information is only stored in Microsoft’s EU data center locations.  This end-to-end certification means that PowerSuite meets a high security bar from product and services design all the way through delivery to our customers, and then continuing with our 24x7x365 operations.

ISO 27001 certification is much more than just a certificate.

It underscores a number of key operational imperatives relating to PowerSuite information security.  It guarantees that Unify Square remains true to our laser focus on continual improvement of our security posture – evolving our software and services, and keeping pace with the rapidly changing threat landscape.  It also provides a framework to comply with the changing regulatory landscape – Safe Harbor to Privacy Shield to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  Unify Square is keeping pace so that you don’t have to worry about the security and compliance of your valuable corporate communications and PII information in PowerSuite.

During our ISO 27001 registration audits, the high level of engagement by our Unify Square executive team was called out as a significant strength.  Our leadership understands that information security is more than a nice-to-have… it is vital to building and maintaining trust.  As you evaluate your business relationship with Unify Square and other providers of performance and operations management software and services for the Microsoft UC platform, please make sure you ask the question if your vendor of choice is ISO 27001 certified.  In today’s business climate this sort of an investment (on the part of both customer and vendor) is paramount to success.
