Today we have updated Unify Square PowerMon to enhance early detection of another aspect of Microsoft Lync conferencing issues by providing validation of the meeting URL join behavior as part of our advanced conferencing scenarios. In other words, PowerMon is now automatically checking that the “Join Lync Meeting” link found in the calendar invite is functioning properly.
If a problem does exist with “click to join” the scenario will be considered to have failed and an alert generated. The alert will display on the PowerMon dashboard and generate an email notification.
PowerMon users will notice a new step has been added to the AV Conferencing scenario entitled “Validate Conference Web URL.” PowerMon will also provide root cause analysis information and resolution guidance for the detected error condition to help first responders quickly identify and remediate the problem.
Effective immediately, Unify Square PowerMon customers automatically receive the benefit of this new behavior without the need for rule updates or changes. If you have questions about this new behavior please contact your account representative or solutions consultant for further assistance.
