VILNIUS, Lithuania – Oct. 18, 2017 – Unify Square, the leading provider of software and 24×7 cloud managed services for Microsoft Skype for Business and Teams, today announced they will open a new divisional office in Vilnius, Lithuania. The office will focus on SaaS software development and add more than 20 product engineers in the next year.
“At the current stage of our growth, we needed to expand somewhere with a robust pipeline of tech talent,” said John Case, CEO of Unify Square. “Building a team in Vilnius will allow us to innovate at an accelerated pace as well as better serve our global customer base.”
Headquartered in the United States, Unify Square already has additional subsidiary offices in Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia and India. Software development divisions already exist in the U.S. and Switzerland, and the new Lithuania division will bring accelerated software time to market and agility to the company’s PowerSuite franchise. Current Unify Square customers include many Fortune Global 500 companies, such as Unilever, Nestle, Microsoft and Shell. According to Global Industry Analysts Inc., the global unified communications and collaboration market, to which the software developed by Unify Square is attributed, will grow to approximately almost USD $63 billion by 2020.
“Unify Square’s products, customers and partners demand a certain caliber of employee,” said Mindaugas Sinkevičius, Lithuania minister of economy. “Their selection of Vilnius for a new office is testament to the skills and competencies of Lithuanian IT professionals.”
PowerSuite™, Unify Square’s core software offering, is an Azure-based performance and operations solutions suite that delivers actionable insights into Microsoft Skype for Business and Teams performance and service health. In the coming months, the rapidly growing company will continue to expand its focus on developing artificial intelligence technology to enhance and improve the end-user experience with unified communications applications.
“This not the first time that Lithuania has landed an investment project of this caliber in competition with other more traditional global software development centers,” said Mantas Katinas, director general of foreign investment promotion agency Invest Lithuania. “We’re proud to host Unify Square and support their growth in our region, not just with the range of software solutions developed, but also the specialized skills required for the job.”
