John Case is President and CEO of Unify Square. A seasoned leader and technology executive, John spent 18 years prior to joining Unify Square working at Microsoft, holding management roles in both sales and marketing. Most recently at Microsoft, John spent four years as Corporate Vice President leading the global marketing, product management, and business teams for Office and Office 365. During that period he led the rollout of Skype for Business and enterprise voice in the cloud.
Prior to Office, he spent four years as Vice President in the Microsoft Worldwide OEM Division in both Marketing and Sales. Previously, John oversaw product management, sales, and marketing worldwide for all Microsoft developer and designer products, including multiple versions of the .NET Framework, Visual Studio, and Silverlight. John also worked in the Windows Server product management team and was part of the team that launched Windows 2000.
Earlier in this career, John worked at Monitor Company, a leading strategy consulting firm, and at Verizon. He is a graduate of Williams College, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and Dartmouth College, where he completed his MBA. In addition, John is an active angel investor and serves on the boards of numerous technology startups.
Joel leads the Unify Square Global Customer and Partner Sales organization. He and his team focus on selling the complete PowerSuite SaaS offering as well as our global consulting services. Joel also builds and nurtures global partnerships with key UC hardware providers, telcos and UCaaS providers.
Prior to joining Unify Square Joel spent over 20 years in the IT Pro space. Starting out managing large distributed IT teams, then moving to engineer operational excellence in a managed IT services environment, and then finally moving into sales and business development to enterprise IT. Joel has worked in and sold to hardware, software and services/consulting companies ranging from startups to $6B+ organizations. Joel’s experience also extends to the development of multi-level partnerships based on core technology integration, full solution design (infrastructure, software, services) and delivery, inclusive of OEM and IP enabling the build out of new markets.
Arun leads development of all UC&C solutions (including Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business) at Unify Square and advanced technical aspects of UC deployments such as customizing the functionality of Office Communications Server for specific enterprise needs. Arun brings eight years of software development experience at Microsoft focused on Microsoft’s enterprise manageability solutions. Most recently, Arun was a Senior Development Lead for the Microsoft Operations Manager product group, where he was responsible for developing more than 40 MOM Management Packs for Microsoft products including Exchange, Active Directory, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Windows Server 2003/2008. Arun co-designed and implemented the Agent Deployment component of MOM, which is a distributed system for deploying agent-based IT software to thousands of servers.
Arun also developed the synthetic transactions components of MOM’s best-of-breed Microsoft solutions for monitoring enterprise Web and Database Applications. Together, these MOM components have resulted in typical IT cost savings for global enterprises in the order of millions of dollars annually.
Arun has an M.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University, and a B.E. in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science.
Alan leads the Unify Square Consulting practice, which includes Teams/Skype for Business transformation/deployment services, user adoption practices, Microsoft Intelligent Communications cloud/hybrid best practices, the Unify Square Success Services practice, and UC Network Assessment services.
Alan brings over 10 years of Microsoft experience as a Program Manager in the Mobility, Networking, and Office Communications Server groups. As a Senior Program Manager for Microsoft Office Communications Server, Alan designed the Audio/Video Conferencing Edge solution for OCS 2007. This firewall traversal technology has been adopted by the Microsoft Windows Live Messenger service, now connecting more than one billion voice minutes per month.
Most recently, Alan was a Senior Program Manager for the OCS Technology Adoption Program (TAP), which enabled dozens of global enterprise customers and over 100 Partners with their OCS 2007 deployments. Alan led the Voice TAP for Microsoft, which focused on enterprise deployments of OCS Voice. Alan was a key approver for over 100 customer designs for interfacing with Gateways & PBXs.
Previously, as a Program Manager on the Microsoft Windows Mobile team, Alan designed the cellular middleware and driver layers currently used in all Windows Mobile devices. Alan is a regular speaker at Microsoft Skype for Business technical events, including Microsoft Ignite, TechReady, Enterprise Connect, and TechEd. Alan has a B.S. in Computer Engineering and an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Washington. In his free time, Alan enjoys conducting the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra, which he founded in 1999.
Sonu’s Chief Technology Officer role at Unify Square allows him to focus on driving the company’s technology strategy and assisting customers with their product roadmaps for enterprise communications. As founding CEO, Sonu built Unify Square from scratch into a global company with an established Fortune 500 presence driven by its innovative Software-as-a-Service offerings.
Sonu has a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he invented the first time optimal self-stabilizing spanning tree algorithms for asynchronous computer networks. Sonu is a visionary in the enterprise communications space. He invented the first enterprise Instant Messaging technology at his first startup Flash Communications which was acquired by Microsoft in 1998 to seed its real-time collaboration efforts. Subsequently, as Group Program Manager in the Real-Time Communications product group at Microsoft, Sonu was instrumental in bringing to market Microsoft’s first Unified Communications offerings – Live Communications Server and Office Communications Server — the foundations of today’s Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business software applications.
As part of the leadership team, Daisy is responsible for leveraging her broad HR experience to lead all human resource operations and continuously improve each part of the employee lifecycle across the globe (as well as overseeing the administration functions for the U.S.). As a Senior Human Resources Leader and Strategic Business Partner, Daisy is passionate and experienced at driving business results through innovative strategies, initiatives and practices.

Daisy Received her MBA with a focus in Human Resources Management from Colorado Technical University and her BA in Business Administration Management from Florida Institute of Technology. She also holds professional certifications in Human Resources (PHR), Benefits (BAC), and Compensation (CAC).
Scott leads the worldwide product management and marketing efforts at Unify Square. On the marketing side his teams are focused on all aspects of the company’s positioning, branding, public and analyst relations, channel/strategic partnering and demand generation. On the product side he is responsible for all product strategy/roadmaps, pricing, and packaging as well as working to ensure that all Unify Square customers remain highly satisfied with their total collaboration and communications experience.
With nearly three decades of product management and marketing experience, his career includes key leadership positions at Microsoft, Avanade and Motorola. Scott spent over 15 years at Microsoft in variety of senior product management, marketing and product planning roles in the Server & Tools, Office, Windows Phone and Exchange product groups. More recently Scott also helped guide local Seattle-area start-ups Azaleos (managed services) and DS-IQ (big data predictive analytics). Scott’s area of specialty lies in designing and executing strategic growth initiatives, emerging business opportunities and building new brands and products.
Scott received his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University. He also received schooling in Germany and Austria.
Dimitri is responsible for the complete Unify Square PowerSuite cloud managed services (PCS) business. He strongly believes that the future of IT Managed Services is all about proactively caring for the end user instead of just monitoring servers, switches and infrastructure.
The Unify Square PCS business encompasses our worldwide NOCs and their associated teams in both India and Lithuania as well as service delivery professionals strategically situated across the globe. Dimitri has over two decades experience in both the UC marketplace as well as with running complex, multi-tiered and multi-national managed services teams.
Having begun his career working in tourism based out of Egypt, India and Mexico respectively, Dimitri switched to IT in the midst of the Y2K craze/scare working in his native Belgium and neighboring EMEA countries before relocating in 2016 to the Unify Square Bellevue headquarters to build out the world’s largest UC/WCS cloud managed Services practice.
Elena leads a multi-national team of finance professionals who manage Unify Square global business operations and who live and work in seven different countries in the United States, Western and Eastern Europe, and Asia. She is responsible for the overall accuracy and control of Unify Square’s global consolidated finances, budgeting and forecasting.
Prior to joining Unify Square, Elena held the position of Director of Finance and Administration at IASP, a Seattle-based non-profit organization. She has over 20 years of finance and accounting experience having worked for public, private and non-profit organizations in the high-tech, manufacturing and healthcare fields. Elena is a Certified Public Accountant and has an M.B.A. from Texas A&M University.
Charlie leads the worldwide financial function at Unify Square. He is responsible for driving investor relations, funding opportunities, and global financial management and forecasting. Charlie also plays a critical role in Unify Square’s pricing and payment strategies and overall business strategy.
Prior to joining Unify Square, Charlie held the position of Partner and Chief Investment Analyst at Tresoro Ventures, a Las Vegas-based venture firm. Charlie has over 25 years of experience in finance roles from multiple perspectives – as CFO of the Dutch-founded startup Inforay; as General Manager, Strategy & M&A for the Server & Tools Business at Microsoft, as Vice President at Hudson River Capital, and as Senior Equity Analyst for Enterprise Software at Sanford C. Bernstein in New York, where he covered Microsoft, Oracle, VMWare, Citrix, SAP, Salesforce and Netsuite. Charlie has a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A., both from Harvard University.
Jochen Kunert leads Unify Square’s business and operations in EMEA, out of Cologne, Germany.
Jochen was a co-founder of Media-Streams AG, the pioneering VoIP company/technology acquired by Microsoft in 2005 to seed Microsoft’s entry into Microsoft’s Enterprise Voice business. Jochen was the General Manager of Media-Streams Germany and Business Development Manager. He was previously VoIP Product Manager at Siemens headquarters in Munich, Germany.
Following the Media-Streams acquisition by the Microsoft Office Communications Server product group, Jochen became a Program Manager for Voice on the OCS product team, where he was a key source of Enterprise Voice expertise for the OCS development effort – including the design for enterprise Voice Routing. Subsequently, as a Senior Program Manager on the OCS Technology Adoption Program (TAP) team and then the Senior Program Manager for the Microsoft Lighthouse program, Jochen provided requirements, best practice guidance, and verification for Microsoft’s Enterprise Voice Lighthouse deployments by key Microsoft customers and Partners.
Jochen has a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Economics and Law from the University of Technology in Darmstadt, Germany. He is an author of the Office Communications Server 2007 Resource Kit, and authored also Microsoft Unified Communications – Telefonieren Sie noch oder Kommunizieren Sie schon? published by Microsoft Press.
As Unify Square’s CIO, Mark is responsible for the strategic direction, innovation and execution of all of Unify Square’s IT and support portfolio—including IT services, PowerSuite support services and PowerSuite VOC (voice of the customer) product planning feedback. Mark is also a frequent speaker at various UC&C industry events, including Microsoft Ignite and Enterprise Connect.
His Microsoft UC platform credentials are fearsome. Prior to joining Unify Square, he directed IT infrastructure services at Microsoft, where he managed Lync for 170,000 employees and contractors in more than 400 offices around the world. Using the Unify Square portfolio, Mark led the successful deployment of Lync enterprise voice to more than 90% of Microsoft’s global employee base.
Mark earned a bachelor of science degree from California State University San Bernardino, with a major in business administration and information management.
